The Last Reel Vanishes
A film set on its last shooting day
The briefing
You arrive at the studio gates to find a crew in shock and a director pacing in the half-dark. Five people had the run of the lot, and the studio wants the reel found before the wrap party turns into a wake.
The only master reel of the film's climactic final scene has vanished on the last day of shooting. The director called for it at six in the evening, ready for the wrap screening, and found it gone. No copy exists.
