The Fall of Garnet Deep
A mining museum's fiftieth anniversary dinner
The briefing
You arrive as the guests murmur over cooling plates. The museum's trustees want the culprit named before the evening ends. Four people had access to the model, and each has a reason to wish it harm or a reason to hide.
The Garnet Deep model, a hand-built working replica of the old colliery and the centrepiece of the museum's fiftieth anniversary dinner, was found wrecked beyond repair when the cloth was lifted before the assembled guests at 7:30 pm.
The suspects
- Alma Pryce, Museum curator
- Bram Tolliver, Dinner caterer
- Cora Heskett, Volunteer tour guide
- Desmond Orr, Retired miner and trustee
