The briefing
You arrive as the fair is sealed and the doors are locked behind you. Three people remain on the premises: an auctioneer, a stone cutter and the organiser. Each swears innocence, and the police chief wants the truth by morning.
Lucian Marsh, the celebrated gem dealer and star guest of the Harbourlight Jewellery Fair, was found dead at ten past nine on the closing night, just as the final bell was due to ring.
