The briefing
You arrive as the last guests linger among the lanterns and crushed grapes. Three people had the run of the estate during the blackout, and the Hallwards want the magnum found before the auction is called off.
At 9:40 pm, when the lights came back on, the Founder's Reserve magnum was gone. It was the estate's only bottle from its first vintage, promised to the charity auction. Only its empty velvet cradle was left.
